Learn And Apply Basic Art Theory
We don't do demonstrations; we want you to dive in and learn by doing. We have premixed colour pallets of your choice, stencils galore (if you like), and everything you need to start painting and producing a competent piece of artwork. We are not seeking craft or hobby-style pieces, which, of course, you can do; however, the aim of our class is to set you on the path to gallery-level creations.
All artwork shown on this site is by Michael, and each piece takes only minutes to complete
Composition
Composition is to keep the viewer's eye in the picture. Seven typical composition 'devices' are available to make a painting work. We discuss these alternatives and try to apply them as best as we can. It takes a little practice. You do go home with these themes on a printed sheet.
Colour Theory
We explain it in very simple terms. Plenty of pre-printed colour composition examples are available for you to choose from. With a proven colour mix you can produce a gallery standard painting.

40 years as a Professional Artist
Michael has been in and around art full time since 1980. His forte was wildlife sculpture in bronze. He owned and ran three bronze casting foundries around the world.
A wealth of International Experience
Art styles vary considerably. From area to area, country to country there is great variety. One hundred and fifty galleries carried Michael's work in the USA, fifty-five galleries in the UK and thirty-five in Australia.
